Vacation!

We just got back to Japan last night from visiting Thailand and Malaysia! It was a great trip and much needed. The next several posts are going to be about our trip, so even though none of it is Japan, we hope you enjoy!

Our first stop was Bangkok, where we stayed in a nice hotel in the heart of town. They had a rooftop pool (which we enjoyed nearly every day) and somehow we always lucked out and had it to ourselves! Whenever we went up there, people were either getting ready to leave or there was no one at all, so we always had the whole pool and lounge area to ourselves; it was soooo nice! Our room was lovely and I loved the decor. It was quite high tech, too. Instead of having a do-not-disturb  sign to hang on the doorknob, there was a touch pad on the wall inside the door by the light switch. You could select either for room service or to not be bothered, and the corresponding light would illuminate outside of the door on the digital room number. Fancy!
