Japanese Watermelon

We've been pretty lucky lately to find cheap watermelon. We didn't eat any at all last year because it was way too expensive. It's still a lot (it's always a lot) but we've been finding reasonable, big wedges. Cantaloupe is still entirely out of the question due to price, but we are treasuring these watermelon morsels. This wedge was about $2.70. Very good deal!! It came in a plastic baggie with a handle, and taped on the side was a tiny packet of salt! Cool! How thoughtful!

I was strolling through our neighborhood one day and happened to glance up at our shrine and this is what I saw! Nothing is off limits when it comes to cats!
