Zoo!

We visited Zoorasia, which is a pretty cool zoo in Yokohama. They have sections of the zoo set up as different ecosystems, such as the Amazon Jungle, Japanese Countryside, African Serengeti, etc. They have everything from lions to bushdogs to red pandas, and even have a seagull exhibit! That was a first for us! haha

It advertises as a barrier free zoo, which made me think it was along the lines of a drive through safari park. However, what they really mean is that it's set up like an American zoo, with animals in big, open exhibits instead of little cages with bars.

Walking through the zoo was enjoyable and they have life size metal statues of animals everywhere in the landscaping, which looks awesome. We were especially blown away by the prices inside the park. The food and gift shop were SOOO cheap! I know at home, you would have to give your first born in order to snack and eat lunch and buy souvenirs at a zoo. I'm eager to see what other Japanese zoos are like!
