Tiny Shrine

One day we ran across an old shrine that didn't look like it was in use anymore. There were very old stone steps leading up to the front, but they were closed off and you could only access the shrine from a trail that went up to the road behind it. The old steps went down the hill into a valley, so we assume that way back in the day (maybe 100 or more years ago), this was the shrine for the immediate hollows and those families. Although the shrine itself looks run down and closed, beside it was a very new-looking wooden model of a little shrine. It was so pretty, and about 2ft tall. There were coin offerings, and fox figurines placed on it. I wish I knew more about it, and the old shrine.
