In Thailand, the King is a big deal. Unlike the Queen of England who is simply loved and respected, the Thai people actually view their King as a god and worship him. His face is everywhere - every home and business has a picture of him hanging inside, and most buildings have a shrine to him outside by the front door. All of their currency, paper and coin, has the King all over it and it's blasphemous to drop money on the ground, and even worse if you accidentally step on it. The King also has a royal flag and it is flown along with the flag of Thailand everywhere.
